Nurse practitioners authorization
The director authorizes Oregon licensed nurse practitioners if they certify to the director that they have reviewed and understand informational materials provided by the Workers' Compensation Division (WCD) about the workers' compensation system.
You must maintain an Oregon nurse practitioner license to receive the nurse practioner authorization. If you treat a patient with an Oregon workers' compensation claim, and the director has not authorized you, the insurer will not have to pay for the services you provided.
